It's 6:19 and I'm about to walk around the house singing. That should rive Teddy completely batty. That and when I tell him I'll be playing the wii while he's in school. He gets REALLY mad when I say that. :) It's the little things you know.
Ted put the new version of Mozilla on the computer last night and it STILL won't let me upload pictures to the blog. The good news is that the new computer has been ordered so not much longer until we're back to Microsoft IE. Wow not sure if I'm allowed to be so happy about a Borg product but we'll see.
Must dash now. I have several children to annoy. Have a good one!

Not Much Time Today
Today is the last day before school starts. Weeeeeeee! Sorry, was that outloud? Tessi is going to preschool and Teddy starts year 3. Connor doesn't start until Thursday - Kindy has their own special times. But tomorrow - IT BEGINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But today, I have 3 extra kids in the house. my 3, plus a brother and sister and the neighbor girl. Obviously, they are all mortal enemies after being around each other all day. The good news is that it finally stopped raining and it's almost dry outside. So OUT THEY GO. But of course, I hear them coming back in. Back to the fray.
Tomorrow is only a day away....TOMORROW, TOMORROW, I love you TOMORROW, you're only a DAY.....A.....WAY

Happy Australia Day!
Today is the anniversary of the First Fleet sailing into Sydney Harbour bringing the English and some very chapped prisoners. So of course Australians commemorate this historic moment with beer, wine and sausages. I love this country.
We are hosting an Australian Day BBQ. I invited people with an e-vite asking them to come celebrate Australia Day with people who know how to tell the Queen to bugger off. I guess I am forever the Ugly American. I'm really looking forward to today because we've invited some great friends who are lots of fun and all of our kids play together well. It's a match made in heaven. Better yet, I don't feel I have to scrub the house down for these people. They are good friends and are ok with clutter. Or if they're not, they are excellent at hiding it! Either way, just a little work and a lot of fun. What a great way to spend the day. Now if only I could get them to join in a chorus of the "Star Spangeld Banner" We'll see after the 5th round what kind of songs we're singing.

New Dog
I'd love to post pictures of our new dog but alas Mozilla is still a piece of junk. It won't let me upload pictures to Blogspot. Grrr. Those of you who are my friends on Facebook please go check out the newest Tencza.
Yesterday we drove to East Gosford to the home of a dog foster mom who works for a rescue service for senior dogs. She had Sasha, a german shepard that she rescued about 1 month ago from the pound just as she was about to be euthanized. We're really not sure how old Sasha is. She was listed as 8 but her foster mom thinks she's about 3-7. Ted's convinced she's a 6 month-old puppy. Huge paws and very active. She doesn't know any commands but she's learning. Her coat had to be shaved because while in the pound she wasn't treated well by other dogs and was beaten up and biten to the point that she had abscesses. When her hair grows back she will be quite the fluffy dog.
Teddy is utterly in love with the dog. He is helping with her training and making sure she has food and water. Last night he slept on the couch with her just so she wouldn't be lonely. Connor is still afraid but she's trying very hard because she wants to pet her badly. Tessi is thilled and keeps walking behind the dog giving her orders. It's hilarious to watch.
I still miss Rugger. I still tear up when I say her name. I think that I always will. But I have to save a little room in my heart for a dog that was almost killed because no one loved her. Because now we all love her.

Dog or a Cat?
The great question. I think we really want a dog but the one shelter just turned me down because our yard isn't fenced. Sigh...I've been looking at cats all morning but I just don't see one that clicks. There are some wonderful cats out there but I can't see one that seems to be "us" I've seen a bunch of dogs 0lder ones as I really don't want a puppy but there is the question of the yard.
Here's what I want: and older female age 2-8, medium to large and fluffy. I like fluffy pets. She needs to be playful but able to just chill now and again. Has to bea able to chase a ball and not be bothered by the roar of the kids. Loving kids is a must. Willing to be loved is a must also. I found a husky mix that was divine but she was just rehomed a few days ago. I found 2 golden retrievers who were perfect but we were shot down because of the yard.
So here it is online friends: Anyone live within 1 hours drive of Sydney who has my dog?

Not Loving Mozilla
Sorry, LESS than impressed with Mozilla Firefox right now. IE is completely dead on my computer so if we want the net we have to use mozilla. Usually that would be fine but apparently we have the new spiffy version so of course, it sucks. I can't upload any photos to my blog - HEl-LO?! What the Hell? Grrrrr. I have a picture of the quilt I made, yes finally made and finished, for Ted's mother and I want to put the picture of. Blah!
We're about to order a new computer and I can assure you; this version of Mozilla will NOT be on it. Neither will Vista but then again that can't come as a shock to anyone. I don't think even Bill Gates put that junk on his machine.
Must dash, minions are killing each other.

Life Back Up and Rolling
Ted's parents left yesterday. 6 weeks of extra people in the house and a whole lot going on. We're starting to get back to normal. Now Ted and I are off the couch and no jockeying for position with the bathroom or computer. Sigh... I miss them, I really do. I really wish we lived closer.
Now begins the great quest to find a family pet. I think we are ging to get a dog but a cat is not out of the picture. I miss Rugger every day. I know she's happy with Sara and Trip, but I miss her. Hopefully we can find someone to help fill her void.
And a homage to studpidity - I FINALLY got the damn pictures off of the camera for the months of Dec and January then I deleted half the pictures. Really, I am a dumb ass. Please Mom and Dad and Mickie - any pictures of New Year's Eve and after please send them to me. I am a twit. Sigh...it's going to be a LONG day!

Blog Schmog
It's so hard to keep this thing updated right now. The computer is still traveling at a snail's pace and the kids...well the kids are the kids. I have a spare 30 seconds now so here I am posting about nothing. A Seinfeldesque style.
Right now life is just a matter of getting through segments of time. Wake up and get through until I can get Tessi to preschool. Then work on stuff until I find an activity for the other two to do. Then wait for lunch time. Ten get through the afternoon and then then survive witching hour. Of course witching hour lasts from about 4 until 6:30 so it's witching LONG hour. Then survive until kids go to bed. Then usually it's colapse time for me.
Wow...I just bored myself with that. Dear God. What's happened to me!? My 21 year old self would crush out her cigarette on the back of my hand for being so lame! Sigh...no pity parties though. Friday Ted and I are going away for the weekend. 3 whole days and 2 nights of no kids and in wine country. I can't wait. Now off to find the day's game plan!

Still Trying!
Still having the fun issues with the computer. Can't use IE at all. Rotten hackers! Can't you twits go after people like Jerry Jones or something? Anyway, Ted's folks are off to Melbourne today and Tessi is in school. Just leaves Connor and Teddy and fortunately my friend Penny will be coming over with her brood. Chaos just works with the kids to have other kids to turn on. Penny and I can just sit back with a cuppa and watch the fray.
The Wii is still a huge hit in the family. I must say, it is really cool. Especially WiiFit. I really like that game. Sigh...now if only the kids would go back to school so I can play it in peace!

Ack! Still Alive!
Good Lord, I do blog, I swear I do. The past 6 weeks have been off the wall insane. Still not any better. The computer is on the fritz. We've been hit with a bastard of a virus and it's slowly killing the machine, bit by bit. Hackers of the world - I get it I really do. Sticking it to the man is cool. I know. I'm all for the non-conformists of the world getting together and making it rough for the establishment. But for Christ's sake, LEAVE MY DAMN COMPUTER ALONE! It's getting to the point where I'm saying leave the drug dealer's alone and put the hackers to death. Public executions for ANYONE caught writing a computer virus.
There, I feel better. Now, before the computer dies off again or I'm plagued by a million pop ups let me say, Christmas was good. 3 hours to open all the presents. Yep, 3 hours. Santa has NOTHING on my in-laws. My sil left Tuesday and the kids are still pretty bummed. Yesterday I took Connor and Teddy to see Igor - the WORST MOVIE EVER. Seriously. The nice, emotional high point was the group of blind orphans singing, "I can see clearly now..." Good God. Taking all 3 to see Bolt today - better be damn happy.
Must dash, the pop ups are getting to me. Wish me luck with getting the computer fixed and/or replaced. Will write more as soon as time/computer/kids/life allows.
